Going through a stack of photographs I came across this photo of a happy young lady. The sad part is I don’t know who she is and can’t connect her with any family, yet.

This photograph was taken of a smiling “Boy Scout” doesn’t hold much information. There are no marks or notations on the back, but on the front of the photo, you can see this was taken in July of 1963.

Whether you are just starting your family research or you’ve been at it for some time “Records” are an important thing to include. But like many what is actually a record and what is a document. Can I include family letters, photographs, or even a family diary as a record?

Trying to locate census, land, military records, and death certificates can be fun and even overwhelming for some.  The information they contain, how to read them and what you can learn. Genealogy Photograph Mystery

How many times have we come across a photograph while researching our family history, many? This particular photograph was in a collection that I purchased off of eBay over five years ago. At this time I  have no idea who she is or what story she might hold but I do enjoy thinking about what her story might be.
